Destination Wedding Central

Hey guys,
So I just realized that I never updated the Destination Wedding Central page. I wrote a blog post on the update, but I never updated here. Anyway, the destination wedding Chris and I were planning obviously didn’t happen. (In case you missed it, we decided to get married, just the two of us, at City Hall here in NYC instead.)

We did, however, visit Palm Springs, California, and fell in love. I wrote all about it here. If you’re in the market for an awesome, beautiful, breathtaking destination for your own wedding, I’d highly, highly recommend the O’Donnell House.

5/18/12 Wedding Update:

So it would appear that Chris and I are thisclose to being decided on a wedding place … yay! I can’t share it here yet, because we haven’t shared the news with all of our family members yet, but you can read all about the dramas of figuring out a place here.

We’ve actually planned a little trip out to the destination for the second weekend in June to check it out all and make sure we love it as much as we think we do. Fingers crossed……

Hey all! So in case you missed it … I’m getting married! Chris popped the question over New Years (actually, you can read all about it here), and we’re heading down the aisle.

Some aisle.
Somewhere.
Some time in the future.

Anyway, it will be a destination (which I wrote all about here) … yay! Right now we’re in the process of trying to figure out where, exactly, that will be. Which is fun, don’t get me wrong, but a bit overwhelming. When the world is your oyster (or at least it feels like the world is your oyster), it can be hard to pare down the options.

That’s not to say there aren’t a ton of things we’re considering, some of which include:

  • Safety for our guests
  • Cost for our guests
  • Cost for us
  • Distance from both Australia and East Coast, U.S.A.

It’s a lot, but once we figure out the destination, I believe a lot of other things will automatically fall into place (and I already bought my shoes this past weekend, so come on…the most important part is done).

Anyway, I plan on using this space as a way of keeping our friends and family updated on everything that’s going on, so I’ll be updating it every so often with new wedding info we think our guests should know.

So here’s the the planning!
