A New Project for Weary Wanderer …

52-250pxHi friends,

So I’ve been thinking a lot over the past couple of weeks about New Year’s resolutions, and trying to live my own best life. In all honesty I feel like I’ve been trying my best to do this for the past few years anyway. For example, for the past four years I’ve kept a running list of New Year’s goals in my diary that I update every time I achieve one of them. I’ve found this extremely helpful over the years to keep track of my achievements and strengths and weaknesses, to see what I’m doing well, and what areas I seem to be lacking in.

Of course keeping this blog has been a big part of that. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again here — I am so thankful to have my own little corner of the internet where I can look back on photos and read memories of past travels. It’s just human nature that time helps us to forget things — but writing these things down will keep them forever at my fingertips.

Anyway, this is a roundabout way to get to the point of this blog, which is that I came across a little project one of my favorite bloggers has been doing for a few years now wherein she takes one photo a week of something going on in her life. She keeps track of them all throughout the year under the title “the 52 project”, and it’s an awesome way to capture even the smallest things that are happening in her everyday life. In the past I’ve struggled with ways to keep this blog fresh and interesting when I don’t have any travels to write about, and I think this will be one fun way to do that.

So here’s to a new blog series for 2014! And here’s to New Year’s resolutions, fresh starts and making the most out of every year (and every day!).

Bis bald, friends.
