In the News: Know Your International Rules

Mind your rice when in Asia

Thanks to my good friend Kate over at Her Two Cents for turning me on to this ABC piece about the Lonely Planet piece about customs from around the world. A few tidbits to keep in mind:

When in Asia, never stick your chopsticks straight up in the rice—that’s how the dead are fed.

When in Japan, never fill your own glass with alcohol—just pour it for others and wait for them to reciprocate.

It’s totally fascinating stuff—a must for anyone traveling to a country where customs are a mystery.

Bis bald, friends! And have respectful travels!
