The Final Windy City Installment—Day 4

Hi friends,

Well I’ve put it off long enough, but Lisa and I did, obviously, have a final day in Chicago. We didn’t do a whole ton, since we had to leave around 3 to catch our flights, but I will post a few photos since we took a really pretty walk along the water.

We started off the day with an early, and final, deep dish pizza at Giordanos, which was right around the corner from our hotel and never without a huge line waiting to get inside. We showed up at 10:30 so as to be one of the first in when they opened at 11. And even though we still had to wait longer than we would have liked for our pizza (we were starving….yes, even at 11 in the morning!)—it was worth the wait. I do believe that I liked this deep dish even better than our first back at Gino’s on Day 1.

After the pizza we hopped a cab down to the Shedd Aquarium, which Lisa had already been to but said was well worth the trip.

Unfortunately it was free admission day at the aquarium, which meant a line that stretched for miles, which also meant no aquarium for me and Lise.

So we decided to walk back to our hotel along the water, since this was an area we hadn’t walked along before.

And that, my friends, was pretty much the end of our fabulous, fabulous trip. But that’s okay, because as I said, Lise and I have decided to make this a yearly thing.

So, until next year’s trip…bis bald, friends!
